With the country still on lockdown, business continues to be real slow but mornings continue to be busy enough. Between 5:30am to 9:30am there’s a good amount of demand especially with less drivers on the road. All rides are key workers going to work either to hospitals or supermarkets and with virtually no cars on the road you can get loads of long trips done in short amounts of time.

Considering what is going on out there, it was a good weak earnings wise with £767.80 over 5 short days apart from the 2 trips I did on Sunday. As you can see there’s a good spread between Uber and Ola and Bolt is always a good third option. If your still driving but are still only partnered with only one app you are missing out on a lot of opportunities. You need to be taking advantage of every possible opportunity and now is the most important time to be multi apping if you aren’t already.

6 April – 13 April 2020| Uber £393.14| Bolt £56.52 | Ola £209.07 |Total £658.73

Similar week to last week but with a much quieter end due to easter bank holiday.

Despite Uber taking 25% more commission at the moment due to the fact that Ola are still commission free they are still the top dog of all the rideshare apps. Uber continue to be the highest earner and as you can see from this weeks earnings I earned nearly £200 more than I did with Ola or nearly double. Bolt still remains third but as always are a good back up.

13 April – 20 April 2020| Uber £179.35| Bolt £73.53 | Ola £281.12 |Total £534

Another tough week out there. I ended up taking the weekend off as I was feeling like I needed to take a break and it was also my sons birthday. It was a well needed rest but will get back on the horse next week.

20 April 2020 – 27 April 2020| Uber £300.49| Bolt £53.13 | Ola £216.92 |Total £570.54

Yet another tough week. Strangely the roads are getting much busier but all the apps are getting quieter. Could it be that more people are going back to using public transport along with more private hire drivers starting to get back on the apps? I’m not too sure why,but I am now working close to double the hours I was at the start of the lock down and earning a lot less.

April started off really promising with a busy first week. I thought things were starting to slowly get back to normal as more people started to venture out more from the imposed isolation. Unfortunately it’s been the opposite and it has been getting quieter by the week. The traffic on the roads has increased drastically and Im seeing more and more private hires getting back on the roads daily. Even though I’m using 3 apps, Uber, Ola and Bolt, requests have become few and far between. This has forced me to nearly double the hours I’ve been working when the lockdown first started and I’m earning less.

I’m not going to lie. It’s getting increasingly frustrating, tiering and a little bit worrying wondering if things will ever get back to normal. All we can do is keeping on moving forward and hope that May sees an uptake in business.

    Hi Angelo

    Hope you are well.

I received my pco licence few back just before the lockdown.

Would you know if Uber, Ola, Bolt and Kapten are onboarding bew drivers?

    Thanks
