How Much Does an Uber Driver Make in London?
The biggest question on anyone’s mind thinking about becoming a Private Hire Driver for platforms such as Uber is “How much can you actually earn ?”
A quick google search for the answer to “how much do Uber drivers make”? will give you a massive disparity of figures from the people claiming slavery on forums to others supposedly earning big bucks. My guess when I first started was that you’d probably find the true figure somewhere in the middle.
Because of all the miss information online, it is very difficult for anyone thinking about entering this gig, to really gauge how much you can realistically earn as an Uber driver. Luckily for me I knew a few people who where driving for Uber, either full or part time so I had a good idea of what to expect.
The figure I was aiming for was between £17 and £20 per hour before expenses and from the first week this seemed like it was an achievable figure. Now as an experienced driver, there are many hours throughout the week where your hitting £30 plus.
The reason I decided to post my weekly and monthly earnings was to show new drivers, like you, what a you can realistically earn as a Private Hire Driver in London.
Once you you gain some experience and figure out a good strategy and put in a good amount of hours, £1000 every week should be easily achievable
Please bear in mind that any earnings posted are after Uber takes their cut of 25% BUT NOT AFTER EXPENSES. Everyone’s expenses are different and vary based on their individual circumstances.
I hope, based on what you see in these earning reports you can make an informed decision of if driving for uber or any other rideshare platform is a viable way of making money for you.
